Why you should not start a Blogger blog

Blogger.com is a free blogging platform by Google. It reminds me of old internet days when blogging was a craze and every one was trying to get rich off of it. It worked back in the days, primarily because there weren't good alternatives.

These days it makes little sense to create blogger/blogspot blog. You might wonder why though. Here is my reason: https://killedbygoogle.com

This website lists all the products killed by Google. Blogger is also owned by Google and you never know when does Google kill it. Its more susceptible to it because it doesn't have any revenue generation for Google. For them it's pure loss. For users it works until it doesn't.

If you have to start a free blog you can consider other platforms like lykhari or bear blog. There are other popular options as well like Medium, and Substack but they have their own problems. See this and this post for why you shouldn't start a Medium or Substack blog.

Just have a look at the list of services killed by Google and you will be convinced about what I am talking about.
